Hands Across Borders is a nonprofit supporting children in the most at-risk communities of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We partner with local child centers that give kids what every child deserves—a safe place to go, a warm meal, and opportunities to learn and grow. In coastal areas where poverty, drugs, and limited opportunities shape daily life, these centers offer stability, care, and hope.
It’s a small but meaningful way to strengthen vulnerable communities. It’s about connecting hearts and hands across borders to give every child a chance to grow, dream, and succeed.

$5 feeds one child for a day.
$25 supports food and materials for a week of learning and play.
$100 sponsors a month of meals and activities for one child.

It Starts with Food…
In Guanacaste, many children struggle with hunger and lack access to nutritious food. Our daily meal program ensures they receive the nourishment they need to grow strong, stay healthy, and focus in school.
…but the Meals are Just the Beginning
When children come to eat, they also find classes, games, and a safe, caring space away from drugs and other risks. It’s a place where they can laugh, learn, and simply be kids, supported by people who believe in their potential and their future.
